Barclays Plc is preparing to cut hundreds of jobs in an effort to decrease costs during slow market conditions. The bank intends to dismiss approximately 5% of its client-facing staff in the trading division, as well as some dealmakers globally. Additionally, Barclays is planning to restructure teams within its UK consumer-banking unit.
