In an effort to bolster its advisory business in India and replenish its ranks after the departure of Ashish Jhaveri, Barclays Plc has announced plans to hire two experienced dealmakers.
Sameer Sood and Srikanth Chakka, who previously worked at Credit Suisse, are set to join Barclays’ Mumbai office.
Sood will assume the position of managing director, while Chakka will take the lead in the industrials division of the investment banking unit.
This strategic move is indicative of Barclays’ commitment to expanding its foothold in the Indian market.
