Brevan Howard Asset Management, a macro hedge fund group, has announced its expansion into commodities trading as part of its efforts to diversify its business.

To lead this endeavor, the firm has hired Elycia Sherman, previously the global head of trading at energy and commodities specialist Hartree Capital Management.
