According to an internal memo seen by Financial News, Cyril Besseddik will join a U.S. investment bank in May. The message stated that he will be located in London as head of healthcare investment banking for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Anthony Hartley, the former head of healthcare investment banking for the region at Citigroup, resigned in September, according to FN.
Citigroup has been employing sector-focused dealmakers for its so-called supergroup, which focuses on the healthcare, consumer goods, and wellness businesses. Chuck Adams, a former partner at Goldman Sachs, was appointed in 2021 to lead the division, which hired six senior dealmakers in April of last year.
