According to persons with knowledge of the situation, the co-head of investment banking and capital markets for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Credit Suisse Group AG is leaving.
Cathal Deasy is departing after more than six years to pursue another opportunities in the sector, according to people who requested anonymity since the move is private. After Jens Welter’s departure in September, he was recently appointed co-head of investment banking and capital markets for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa alongside Giuseppe Monarchi.
Monarchi assumes primary responsibility for investment banking and capital markets across EMEA. According to an internal document seen by Bloomberg and confirmed by the bank, Credit Suisse also designated Steven Geller as the head of worldwide IBCM M&A.
According to the letter, William Mansfield, who has worked for the Swiss bank for more than two decades, has been designated the new head of EMEA M&A. Gen Oba was also chosen co-head of IBCM France,
