CVC Eyes IPO: A Pivot Point for European Private Equity?

CVC Capital Partners, a large European private equity firm, intends to proceed with its plan to go public with a multibillion-euro initial public offering (IPO) before the end of the year, according to sources familiar with the matter.

This comes after the firm postponed its plan last year due to high volatility in the markets caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

However, the market has since rebounded, and CVC has recently raised a record €26 billion buyout fund.
