Prominent former executives from JP Morgan, Ville Vaataja and Shigetoshi Kobayashi, have joined Brahman Capital Management Pte to lead the newly launched Brahman Kova Japan Fund.
The fund, which began trading last month, focuses on Japan’s interest rate market and currently manages approximately $100 million.
Vaataja, previously the head of Asia Pacific G-10 rates trading at JP Morgan, and Kobayashi, former Japan fixed-income trading chief, aim to allocate at least 75% of the fund’s exposure to the Japan rates
