JPMorgan paid Jamie Dimon $34.5 million in compensation for 2022, the bank announced on January 19th.
Dimon received $34.5m for his work in 2021, in addition to a $50m retention incentive he might earn for remaining at the helm of the nation’s largest bank. Since 2005, the 66-year-old has overseen the bank, and it is widely anticipated that he will remain for at least the roughly four additional years required to collect the bonus.
At last year’s annual shareholder meeting, investors voted against his compensation in response to this bonus, which had infuriated them. The board announced on January 19 that it “would not issue him any special prizes in the future.”
The pay for 2022 includes a salary of $1.5 million and a cash bonus
