KKR Exclusive: Biggest IPO Payoff Yet?

KKR & Co., an American private equity firm, is set to launch Kokusai Electric Corp., a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

This is the largest initial public offering in Japan since 2018. KKR acquired Kokusai from Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc. in 2018 through a tender offer, aiming to enhance the performance of Japanese conglomerates.
