The deal, which was announced in January, has now received approval from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in the UK.

The acquisition marks a significant win for Microsoft as it seeks to compete with industry leader Sony.

Activision Blizzard brings popular game titles such as “Call of Duty” to Microsoft’s gaming portfolio, enhancing its ability to attract more users to its Xbox consoles and Game Pass subscription service.
