Morgan Stanley promotes 184 new MDs, 40% of which are women.

Nearly 40 percent of the 184 individuals elevated to the coveted position of managing director at Morgan Stanley are women, the highest proportion ever.

The number of those promoted decreased significantly from 2022, when 199 new managing directors were appointed, the highest number in a decade. As with the majority of its competitors, Morgan Stanley has reduced its workforce in recent months, and investment banks have promoted fewer new MDs this year.
