Rathbones to acquire Investec, creating £100bn AUM fund

Rathbones, a UK-based wealth management firm, has agreed to acquire Investec Wealth & Investment UK for £839mn, creating a new group with assets exceeding £100bn. The merger will bring together two of the largest wealth managers in the UK under the Rathbones brand, which has a history dating back to the early 1700s.
