Bridgepoint Exclusive: The $1bn Renewable Acquisition

On Wednesday, Bridgepoint Group announced the acquisition of Energy Capital Partners Holdings, an infrastructure investor, for an enterprise value of around $1 billion. The purchase aims to create a private-equity asset management firm with total assets exceeding $61 billion. The agreement, which has been in progress for several months, will allow Bridgepoint, a midmarket specialist based in London, to establish its presence in the energy-infrastructure sector.
